Lucy is a 2 year old high energy dog and needs an experienced owner who knows how to handle her level of energy. She would do best as an only dog and no children under 13. Not because she is mean or aggressive, but because she has so much energy she often overwhelms other pets. She also has trouble reading social cues from other dogs, so when they are saying "stop playing" she doesn't recognize it. Due to her age and activity level, we are looking for an experienced adopter who will continue to reinforce the manners and obedience she has learned, give her sufficient exercise for her 'need for speed', and guide her to adulthood. As a plus, Lucy is an excellent jogging partner. She stays close to your side at a steady pace with no attention to anything but you. To be perfectly honest, Lucy's 'perfect home' would be one in which she could go outside into a fenced area to run and play as much as she wanted (she entertains herself very well, a plus for sure!) and an experienced large dog,-savvy home. She is crate trained and actually very quiet in her crate. She loves to be brushed and will lay quietly in exchange for the pampering. If she gets antsy, a firm No and she stops. She's gorgeous.
