Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cinnamon and Sammy are a bonded pair of Miniature Dachshunds. They are desperately seeking a new home together. This is the information from their current caregivers, who love them but must give them up to do life changes:
"Cinnamon came to us as a puppy. At the same time I gave my mom the gift of Cinnamon’s sister Ginger, so we had the spice girls! She is a purebred, she was born Feb. 25, 2002. She is cinnamon color… We have enjoyed every minute with her! We learned early that Dachshunds needed to be socialized, so we invited anyone and everyone to hold her — she thinks the whole world loves her. Even to this day she will lick a stranger non stop as she greets. Now at 13 she does have some health issues she is blind, but you would not know it to watch her, she carefully navigates the house, gently bumping to things that have been placed in her normal path. She sleeps in a sleeping bag and loves to be on a lap! She weighs between 10-12 lbs. She has never been around cats and is timid around other dogs initially.
Sammy was a rescue that we adopted after seeing his picture, we had him flown to our home, overweight and quite anxiety stricken, it took him several months to settle into our home, we understand that he is classified as a double dapple and has one eye that is 1/2 blue. He and Cinnamon are best friends, they enjoy the nightly wrestling match in the living room. We believe Sammy was born in 2006. He LOVES to go for walks, he also sleeps in a sleeping bag, his favorite place to be is on a lap. He weighs between 11 - 14 lbs. He has never been around cats, is comfortable around other dogs, he is a great guard dog, alerts with bark when anyone comes to the home.
We have loved these dogs and have provided a wonderful sanctuary for them the entire time they have been in our care. Life change has caused us to realize they need a stable home, which we can no longer provide for them. If they can be together, they will both be very happy and content.
