This handsome young man is Peyton. He is a Schnauzer mix, 8 years old and weighs 19 pounds.
He was surrendered by his owner after he was diagnosed with diabetes. It is controlled now with diet and daily insulin shots, and he is doing very well. He takes his shots like a champ! He is the sweetest, most affectionate boy around. Anyone would be lucky to have this guy in their family. He is being fostered in Indianapolis, IN.
Peyton is potty trained. He is well-behaved and listens very well. He loves car rides and walks great on a leash. He gets along ok with the other dogs in the home, but would probably do better in a home with only one other dog – and no cats (he is a cat chaser). He was an only dog all his life, and very loved. He just wasn’t around many dogs in his life so he gets a little bossy!
He doesn’t join in the other dogs play, but he sure loves to play with his toys. He does well with older children (6 or older). He loves his humans and is happiest when they invite him up on their lap. He cuddles up and before you know it he’s sound asleep and snoring! If you are looking for a sweet furbaby to add to your family please fill out an adoption application with Peyton’s name on it and someone from SRC will contact you.
Peyton is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations and HW tests. He is currently on HW and flea prevention. His adoption fee is $275.
