KESSIE's Story...
06/12/15 - MEET KESSIE!!! Kessie along with her 6 brothers and 1 sister came to our program from a high kill local shelter at the age of just 2 weeks old!!! Big Hearts 4 Paws had to supplement with a bottle as Piglet (momma dog) wasn't producing enough milk for all the babies. Now, they are all 6 weeks of age and doing perfect!!! The pups are extremely smart...they have learned the doggy door already!!! Their personalities are fantastic. They are all playful and full of love. Mom Piglet weighs in at 60lbs while dad was 28lbs. The puppies will be altered on June 22nd and able to go to their forever home after June 23rd. If you would like more information on Kessie or any of her siblings, please email

Our pups are spayed or neutered, current on vaccines/deworming, microchipped and have flea/tick prevention applied. Our adoption donation is $250.00 for our puppies. Adopting a puppy is a lifetime commitment. Are you ready for a new found friend?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

KESSIE, a Wellington American Staffordshire Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Wellington, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier puppy from a breeder in Wellington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wellington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wellington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wellington paves the way for another one to be saved.
