Sosa's Story...
Please visit our main website at for most recent list of available Boxers and to fill out an adoption application. Due to the volume of inquiries our volunteers receive we are unable to reply to inquiries without a completed adoption application.

Sosa is one of the sweetest boys and his story is just beginning. His owners were moving and could not keep him and his “sister” Chicklet. Sosa is super playful and social. He spent time going to dog parks and is well socialized with people of all sizes. He is wonderful with small dogs as his “sister” got all the tiny genes. Sosa’s genealogy is a roll of the dice with some Boxer, Labrador, pit who knows. He could be a wonderful Heinz 57. His fur and tail say lab but no matter the DNA, Sosa has a wonderful personality. He walks well on leash and loves to cuddle. Sosa loves other dogs so much he would be happiest with another playful dog. Not one that sits up on a pillow thrown, one that will play chase with him and be a dog. He is fantastic with little children and demonstrates ultimate patience with little ones.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sosa, a Encino Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Encino, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
