Frankie is a very affectionate boy who is all about LOVE! He's happiest when he's close to his people, whether he's sitting next to them on the couch or lavishing them with lots of kisses! Snuggling is one his very favorite things to do and he would do it all day long, if possible! This happy guy craves belly rubs and has the cutest way of nudging a hand when he'd like one, and he loves to lay his head across laps and get back scratches! He makes his Foster Mom laugh when he gets up on the couch to snuggle with her then flips over on his back to give her easy access to his belly & chest! He's such a character who loves attention and just wants to be loved. When one of his Foster Parents has a bad day, he makes them feel so much better after he gives them welcome home kisses and lets them know how much they were missed! A total beefcake who likes sitting in laps, Frankie steals many hearts with his happy smile and beautiful golden eyes! He's such a stunning boy, his brindle fur just adds to his beauty! He has a white tux and he's so soft that he became his Foster Mom's favorite pillow!
Frankie is playful & highly energetic and would love to have an active Forever Home! He enjoys being outdoors, going to the park, hiking & swimming and would be an excellent walking, jogging or running buddy! Because his energy is high, this frisky boy requires daily walks to keep his energy levels low so he stays happy & healthy. A goofball at heart, he makes his Foster Parents laugh when they let him outside in the morning as he runs a few laps around the yard with his tongue hanging out! He enjoys playing with the dogs in his Foster Home and they love running at full speed towards each other, crashing, rolling around the grass and being silly. Toys don't interest him very much, he'd rather play with a Kong or another dog, and he doesn't play with people or kids. He likes it when kids cheer him on while he's playing or scratch his back but he's a strong boy who doesn't realize how strong he is so we don't recommend him being around young children. When it's time to relax, he likes to enjoy a little quiet time in his crate or cuddle with one of his Foster Family's dogs on their doggie bed. Although he's a friendly guy, Frankie's a bit choosy about his buddies but we would love for him to have a canine playmate & companion. So, if the right dog comes along who's his size and they get along great, we'll consider it.
When it comes to intelligence, Frankie has a lot! He quickly learned all the routines in his Foster Home and he listens very well! He knows the commands Sit, Stay, Down, Leave it, Bye bye, Go for a walk and Puppy park! When he hears Kennel up, he runs towards his kennel! He's very eager to please his people so training him and teaching him new commands shouldn't be hard, plus his Foster Family uses a collar that beeps and it's worked great. Frankie would be happiest in a home with someone who has authority and keeps limits & boundaries so he doesn't try to push beyond them. This handsome hunk enjoys going for walks and does well on a leash, rarely pulling, even when walking with two other dogs! Car rides are one of Frankie's favorite activities and he'll jump right in the car if the door is open! His Foster Mom spoils him and her two dogs just a little bit, taking them for daily rides, which they all love - especially when they go through drive-thru restaurants! He's well-behaved in public but does have a tendency to jump when he gets too excited. His Foster Mom handles that with a quick, 'Frankie, no!' and he'll be a good boy and sit!
Frankie will be an excellent companion in an active home, preferably with another playful dog and without small children. He would thrive in a home that will dedicate time to him as he's a love bug who craves attention & loves snuggle sessions!
