Pooh Bear's Story...
Pooh Bear, affectionately known as Pooh, is a purebred Smooth Coat Collie.

Although Pooh is 13-years-old, don't let that deter you! Because just like her namesake, Pooh Bear is affectionate, curious, and loves to play with dogs and children alike! She lives for walks, car rides, cuddle sessions, and playing catch with her large beach ball (she'll bounce it right back to you!). She also loves to romp around in the snow, and catch snow balls!

And as an even bigger bonus, Pooh Bear is a two-in-one deal! Indi, her border collie "sister", is very bonded to Pooh, and the two of them would make an amazing addition to any family. Both are overflowing with love for their people and for each other after being together for all thirteen years of their lives.

Pooh Bear is hard of hearing, but responds well once you get her attention through gestures/movement. She is also arthritic, but that is easily managed by inexpensive daily medication.

Both have lived with children of all ages and are good with other dogs. They have never been around cats, so please note if you have any and we can arrange a cat-compatibility test.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pooh Bear, a Denver Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Denver, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
