My name is NELLY!

Bichon Frise Dog for adoption in East Hanover, New Jersey - NELLY

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

NELLY's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

NELLY's Story...
Nelly (yes that is HIS name) is an 8 year old, Male, Pure Bred Bichon with pedigree papers, born and bred in France and currently living in New Jersey. He is very sweet, affectionate, neutered, up to date on vaccines and very healthy with no medical issues.
He just LOVES People, LOVES the groomer LOVES other dogs and cats, LOVES Kids and just LOVES ANYONE that will give him love, affection and attention!

Bichons live LONG lives so 8 is only middle aged. Most Bichons if vet check regularly and teeth cleaned regularly can live to 16-19 years old on average! So Nelly is still very YOUNG for a Bichon!

Nelly is mostly house-trained, but will have occasional accidents or leg lifting if he is left alone for long hours as he is unhappy being all alone. With consistent and frequent potty breaks or walks he should quickly fall back into complete house training.

His current own now has to travel much more for work and is not home enough to give Nelly the companionship he deserves.
We prefer a home for him where the adopter either works from home, only works part time or is a stay at home mom or retired person. He does not like to be left alone for long periods of time. Someone that can also take him out frequently and keep him on a potty schedule.

If you are interested in adopting Nelly, please fill out an application at this link: http://www.bichonrescuenj.com/bichon-frise-rescue-nnj-adoption-app.html

Please NOTE that we do not adopt long distances! You must live in New Jersey or live within 2 hours of Northern NJ to qualify.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

NELLY, a East Hanover Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in East Hanover, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in East Hanover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Hanover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Hanover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Hanover paves the way for another one to be saved.
