Dixie's Story...
Hi, I’m Dixie! I love that the camera makes me look so tall (because I’m shorter than I look). But everyone I meet always tells me how pretty and beautiful I am.
I love people! But around dogs I’m not always so sure how to keep my cool, so sometimes play a little rough; I’m just trying to share all of the love!!
I’m a fun loving dog that loves to play; especially games of fetch and tug-of-war! I love to go on walks and hang out in the woods with my foster dad so I can run around and get some energy out! Then we come home and cuddle on the couch.
I would be great for someone that has a big back yard (maybe some woods) where I can run around and play and with my new family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Savannah Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound for sale in Savannah, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Savannah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Savannah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Savannah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Savannah paves the way for another one to be saved.
