I walked into the small, rural outdoor shelter one freezing cold day in March just in time to see a mom pit mix giving birth. I sat and watched her give birth to 10 puppies. As soon as she was done, I got the mom and pups cleaned up and put them in my truck there was no way I was leaving them there to freeze to death. One puppy was sick from the beginning and didn't make it. The remainder of the puppies grew up to be healthy and strong. The mom, along with all the puppies, except Moose and two of his brothers (Mike and Tyke) were adopted into their Furever homes. Moose has such a sweet disposition. He is very mild mannered. He's a little shy at first, but quickly melts your heart once he warms up to you. A little extra TLC will be beneficial to help bring him out of his shell. He does great with other dogs but NO cats. He is extremely gentle with kids and enjoys their company. He's very soft hearted and gets his feelings hurt easily if fussed. But beware, he can make very sad eyes that will absolutely make you weak in the knees. Lol. Moose has demanded a home where he sleeps in the bed with his very own human. He won't take no for an answer on that one. He really just wants to be someone's buddy. He's been in rescue for over 800 days!!!!! Please consider making this boy a part of your family!!!!
