Squiggly's Story...
Hello! My name is Squiggly, I know doesn't really match my gorgeous self does it? I am happy to be renamed if you adopt me! My foster people don't know what I am am, I look like a King Charles Spaniel in the front and a Golden Retriever from the rear! I'm a low rider, so I was called a Corgi at the shelter, but I don't think that's my family tree. You want to know about me? I'm young, just a year old, 28 pounds, and I'm super loyal and loving with my people. I'm still learning to trust others, and I'm learning that people are nice rather quickly. I'm a smart boy, and I like walks and my toys! I get on fine with other dogs too. Want to meet me? I would like to meet you! Email us here and we can set a date to meet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Squiggly, a Portland Retriever (Unknown Type)/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Portland, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type)/Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type)/Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
