My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello Everyone! My name is Whitey, and I am looking for the perfect family to share a forever home with. My previous owner surrendered me sadly and brought me to the Mayflower Animal Control along with my 8 puppies to live out our last days. My puppies have been saved and placed into loving homes, but for me I am still awaiting my happily ever after. My promise to my forever family is that I will be the best dog you could ever want.

My “adorable-ness” starts at being a laid back, gentle soul who's wish is to be surrounded by loved ones. Part of my charm is that I come with a heart full of gold; however, one issue you need to know about me is I do have a medical condition. I have been diagnosed slightly heart-worm positive and do require treatment. The Mayflower Animal Control is currently working on my treatment, but it is not guaranteed I will receive it until my family come and rescues me.

Majority of people just look past me because of my age or my condition and prefer a more youthful dog. But, I have more love to give because I have had more years of practice. And let us not forget loyalty … I am filled to the brim with it.

Rather than living my last days in a cage, I want to cherish my last few years on earth cuddled next to someone who I can express unconditional love to and have a long lasting friendship with.
