Maks's Story...
Hi everybody! I'm Maks, a 3 year old pure bred Golden Retriever boy. I'm excited because AGK says they're going to find me a great, forever home! I'm house trained and good with kids...I love to play! I do have a little separation anxiety that needs to be worked through but AGK feels confident that can be solved easily in the right environment. I'm also on a preventative medication for seizures. I've had two of those scary things but none since starting my medicine! Overall, I'm just a sweet boy looking for a second chance! If you have a spot for a great boy, ask for me, Maks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maks, a Knoxville Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
