found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Personality- laid back, likes the company of my other dogs, but also doesn't need them, indifferent to my beagle mix and cats indoors. Likes her crate and will retreat to it when she wants to chill. Plays with toys especially squeaky ones and is a major collector, doesn't destroy just collects.
Sleep habits- in her crate, will sleep all night without having to get up at night to use bathroom. Since she doesn't sleep in our bedroom if she does happen to need to go out she will bark to let know. If she barks she needs to go out. This happened more when I first got her before she was used to our routines.
Work- she is crated when I go to work and when no one is home. She does this easily and doesn't complain. When I am in school she usually spends 8-10 hours in her crate. Haven't come home to an accident yet.
Food- total foodie, will eat everyone's food and loves her milk bone treats. Totally trainable using milk bones, she loves them. Fed 2 times a day, evening feeding usually has something mixed in with kibble, such as low fat plain yogurt, chicken broth.
Health- she is older so she doesn't have the high energy that a younger dog might have, she has zoomed in the yard a few times, but I don't think she needs to do this.
Other info- can do stairs with no problem, walks on my floors without an issue (I have laminate and tile), goes to the bathroom on a leash. She is startled by loud noises and does not like thunderstorms. I suspect fireworks will cause her anxiety. She does not like riding in the car, gets anxious and wants to climb in your lap. I do think she could be workable with this, by starting off with short trips and build up to longer trips. Praise and milk bones could really help here.
She is a very sweet girl and is embracing retirement. She will make a great pet.
