My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Harry and I'm a former addict..... I was once addicted to table scraps. I'm a 7 year old pug / chihuahua mix and I currently weigh 18 lbs. My foster mom thinks I should probably be more like 7 lbs, so she is worried about me. Needless to say, I let myself go, but am now on the road to recovery. After a few days I've learned that my kibble and low fat treats aren't so bad, and I LOVE walks, so I'm already doing great with my new routine! I'm looking for a family that will be committed to getting me slimmed down to a healthy weight with proper diet and exercise.

I am already housebroken and crate trained, although I am trustworthy outside of the crate when you go to work. I love people, dogs, and cats too! I enjoy exploring in the yard or just laying in the sun and relaxing. I'm really very laid back and my foster mom says I'm an "easy keeper". I'm a quiet guy, and not phased by the action of the city, so I will be happy living anywhere that I will be showered with the love that I deserve.

If you are interested in finding out more about Harry, please fill out an application. Harry is being fostered in Franklin.

The adoption fee is $325.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
