Our very own Lucca is indeed a blessed and fortunate boy. He was out of time at the shelter and HW positive so things were looking pretty bleak for this awesome guy. Thankfully he was noticed through rescue efforts. After meeting Lucca, we knew what a truly wonderful pooch he was and if ever a dog deserved a great life..it was him. We aren't really sure what Lucca is but we are leaning towards a Border Collie/hound mix. He looks like a Border Collie with a short coat and talks like a hound. Lucca is a very handsome boy, white with big black spots and black ticking. He is about a year old and full grown at 37 lbs. Lucca is a total laid back love bug with impeccable manners. He spent his first two days of freedom in a temporary foster home until foster mom could pick him up..never a single accident. The same proved true in his long term foster home. This boy has NEVER had an accident in the house nor has he ever been destructive in any way. He is completely trusted with full access to the house at all times. He does have use of a doggy door to go outside to the fenced yard at any time. Foster mom believes he will prove trustworthy whatever the living arrangements. He is a snuggler and a cuddler so be prepared to be well loved by this little man. He likes to curl up beside his person on the couch. When it's time for bed he lays his head on foster mom's head for a little while until she falls asleep (he may or may not stay as there is a house to watch over). Lucca loves breakfast and dinner time and talks to his foster mom when it's time to eat. ah oooooOooOoOOoooo!! (yes his foster mom holds conversations with him). He patiently waits for his turn and always politely sits whether instructed to or not. Lucca spends his days with several foster siblings of all ages and sizes and is very good with all (even the annoying puppies). He could care less about the two mischievous indoor cats he resides with. He does, however, absolutely adore foster mom's 8 year old grandson (kid tested..grandma approved). Lucca is a pleasure on leash and he loves to go for rides in the truck (very well behaved passenger). There are so many good things to share about Lucca but we'd probably have to write a whole book. Lucca is already neutered, up to date on all vaccinations and current on all preventatives. OH!!! Those heartworms....well he has already been treated and finished his 4 weeks of rest and rehab (he was a great patient!). Lucca was very fortunate to be given the chance to show everyone what a great family member he can be. Now he just needs to be given the opportunity to do so with a family or person who will love and care for him for the rest of his life. He has been a brave boy and yes we think he is pretty well convinced of all the power of what true love can do. How about you?
