My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hank! Hank is a 1 year old, healthy, happy 65 lb. bundle of love. It's hard to believe that this sweet Lab/Great Pyrenees mix boy (and a bunch of other dogs and cats) were just a day away from being put down in a rural Tennessee shelter because the only employee was going on vacation and there would be no one to take care of the animals. Well, there was no way that was going to happen to this great guy or the others, so Critter Cavalry rushed in, scooped them all up, vetted them, and delivered them to caring foster homes. Hank is about a year old and seems to be over the crazy puppy stage, although this guy may not have had one at all. He is a sweetheart and in true Great Pyrenees fashion, he likes to lean up against his humans; not in an obnoxious way but just to make sure that you are present and to let you know that he is there for you. As you can see in his pictures, Hank is quite a handsome dog and has a short coat, more like that of a Lab and he is tall and slender. On hot Tennessee days, Hank likes to stand in his wading pool while he takes a drink. He gets along great with all of the other dogs at his foster home and all of the humans that he has met. He does have the Great Pyrenees ability to escape from a low fence (fortunately he did not go far), so this boy will need a tall fence. Hank has been vetted, neutered, microchipped and is just waiting patiently for that loving person or family to step up and give him a wonderful home and the chance to be their special companion.
