My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

8/30/15 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!

Adoption Fee: $250

Fostered in Texas

Age: 8 years

Weight: 5.5 lbs.

6/29/15 - I, dear friends, am Hershey. I know your type – you are no settler. Only the best will do and you are in the market for a yorkie. Well, look no further. You have just stumbled upon the créme de la créme of pets. Like fine wine, I have aged to perfection. I’m highly intellectual, incredibly handsome and have a great little figure. I know what you’re thinking. “Where have you been all my life?” Isn’t it enough that I’m here now.

I came from a home where I was loved very much, but medical circumstances and moving made it such that I had to be surrendered. I’m in a foster home with two other pups and am fine co-existing with them, but have not yet started to try to play with them. However, I do LOVE playing with small tennis balls.

I love sleeping with my humans and being with them on the sofa. Not really a smothering pup as I’m content to sit next to you or on the top of the sofa behind you as opposed to always having to be in your lap. I do enjoy giving my humans kisses though. I currently wear something called a belly band if my humans run errands. I’m getting better with the potty thing, but changing homes has got me off my routine. Open that door though, and I'll go outside every time.

Since my previous mom worked from home, I do get a little upset and bark when you are leaving me to go out, but am ecstatic when you come home and will run and get my favorite tennis ball to greet you and try to engage you in play when you come in. I love the fetch game and will bring my ball back to you to be thrown again (well, okay - I do like to play tug-o-war with you and the ball too sometimes)!

Foster mom says that I am an easy little guy that would like at least one parent that is home more. Another dog or two won’t bother me much as I’m a great co-exister. I really just don’t have any faults that would hinder me from getting the best home possible, so think about your situation, see if I’m the one you’ve been waiting for, and fill out my online application. I’ll review it and if we can make each other happy, I’ll personally give you a call.

Love Hershey
