Doris is an awesome little dog! Not much of a barker, mostly barks after the other dogs here get riled up over something or at wildlife out in the yard. She's great with people (only adults in her foster home, no kids here to test her with) and pretty low key most of the time. But sometimes when she comes in from the yard, she likes to tear around the house and play! Doris also likes to be a lapdog and curl up with you in bed. Anyone looking for a cute little dog to cuddle up with this winter? Doris would make a great pet for a senior citizen and she'd probably be delighted to be the only dog so she can have as much lap time as she wants.
She likes to be with her human and will follow you everywhere...including the bathroom if you let her! She's housebroken if she can get outside at least every 4-5 hours, otherwise puppy pads are recommended since she's so little.
She's fine with cats too. There's a dog-savvy cat in her foster home and they've mingled without any issues...other than Doris wanting to steal his canned food
She came from a shelter with no background info, so the age is a guess. She's around 8-9 years old, she still likes to play occasionally, but doesn't have extended play periods like 1-2 year old dogs.
