My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Coffee is a nice, gentle guy who's not above a romp or two.  He gets happy when he sees the leash coming out and he absolutely LOVES to go for car rides.  He'd make a great companion for RV'ers!  His travel skills are excellent.  He's done a 4-hour drive with his foster mom and just hung out and mostly napped on the back seat, occasionally sitting up to check out the sights.

Coffee is housebroken and non-destructive.  He's past the puppy/young dog stage, but still in the prime of his life to enjoy activities with his new family.  He looks like a collie, but with shorter hair, so we think he's a Smooth Coated Collie possibly mixed with Husky or Border Collie. He's medium energy.  He is fostered with other dogs (smaller and around his size) and he prefers the calmer dogs in our pack, regardless of size.   There's a cat in his foster home that he seems to want to chase, so we don't recommend him for adopters who have cats.

Coffee is estimated to be around 6-7 years old (around middle aged for a dog his size) and weighed 53 lb at the vet. We think he would do best in a home with empty nesters who live a low key kind of life.  He's a great companion dog and is fond of napping at his foster mom's feet.  As stated above, he travels well so he's very pleasant on road trips.

Coffee was picked up as a stray running loose with Trixie.  We think they may be father and daughter as Trixie's age estimate is younger.
