My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! my name is Ferdinand. I'm a handsome 5 year old black and tan miniature Dachshund. I can say I'm handsome because everyone tells me I am so it must be true, right? Up until now I've spent my life in a commercial breeding facility, but my foster parents say I'm adjusting to freedom just fine. When Wag N Train rescued me I went to the vet and my foster mom said they pulled all but ten of my teeth. I still eat everything my foster brothers do, I just get creative! I'm still picking up on some basic manners and my foster parents keep telling me how smart I am. I need someone who will channel that intelligence because otherwise I get bored and direct it toward things I really shouldn't, like opening gates! I get along well with dogs of all sizes but it's really people I like best. If you are sitting down I will want to cuddle with you. Wouldn't you like to wake up to my adorable face every morning?

Adoption donation for Ferdinand is $300 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs. Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts only to people living in states neighboring Nebraska and requires the adopter to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not transport or fly our rescue dogs. A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers. Adoption applications can be found on our website at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com
