Thank you for considering the adoption of a Keeshond rescue dog!
Please note: We place our dogs only in Southern California.
Scooter is a 10 year old Keeshond who is looking for a forever family! Personable Scooter is very active and he enjoys cuddling and playing fetch games. We welcomed Scooter into our rescue program when his owner faced lifestyle changes and was unable to care for him. We foster the dogs in our program in the homes of volunteers, who provide the dogs with food, shelter, grooming, attention, and other care needed for their well being. We have all rescue dogs examined by our veterinarian. Each Keeshond in our rescue program is very special, with a unique background and needs. We are very careful in placing the dogs, so please be patient with us as we ask questions that will help us determine which dog may be right for you and which home is best for the Keeshond. Please visit our website at www.foreverkees.org to find out more about Keeshond Rescue and to view a representative sample of available Keeshond dogs. New dogs arrive often and some are placed right away because they matched a home waiting for them.
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you should submit a downloadable adoption application via email or US Mail. Whichever rescue organization you support, donate dollars to that organization to make a difference in the lives of many dogs awaiting suitable forever homes. Support rescue organizations so we can do what we each do best -- provide proper medical care, reinforce self-esteem, place appropriately. If you don't see the Keeshond you want to adopt right now, please consider making a tax-deductible donation for the homeless Keeshond dogs at SoCA Keeshond Rescue, Inc. SoCA Keeshond Rescue, Inc. has Paypal link on www.foreverkees.org. US Mail address is PO-BX 735, Rhome TX 76078.

You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
