Joe - Joe's Story...

JOE- JOE - We are older; our son owns the St. Bernard that we need to place.  It is five years of age, had all its shots and also is neutered.  We live on the second floor and have to go up and down stairs to put him on his lead, etc. when our son has to work or travel.  This is getting too much for us to do.  Walking on a leash can be difficult. He is OK with the cat.  He with small and medium dogs.  He loves to roll over and have tummy rubbed.  He is on a lead when going outside.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joe - Joe, a Pittsburgh St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
