Garette's Story...
My name is Garrett and I’m a handsome white and gray male cat. I was trapped during a Trap Neuter and Return and wasn’t a feral cat, just shy. My foster mom has been working with me and I am out and about in my foster home playing and enjoying life. I love to play and get along with other cats & dogs; I do enjoy having a friend around with me. I am coming out of my shell slowly; I will allow my foster mom to rub my chin and it is just a matter of time before I will be totally comfortable getting petted. If you want a loving cat as a friend to your present cat and don’t mind that you still need to work with me a little, I would be perfect. Or, I can be your one and only; I will bond with you and you only if there are no other animals in your home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Garette, a Medford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Medford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Medford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medford paves the way for another one to be saved.
