My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! My name is Augustus and I am new to the rescue. As you can see I am a very thin boy, so the vet is doing some testing to make sure I am healthy, while my foster family is feeding me three meals a day to help me gain some weight. The vet thinks I am 6-7 years old. My foster mom says I am a sweetheart. I’m also a “flopper”…I will jump in your lap, flop over on my belly and beg for a tummy rub. For some reason this makes my foster family laugh. Although I haven’t been here in my foster home for very long, I get along with my two Basset sisters. I’m okay with those cat “things” if they give me my space. I seem to be afraid of them, so if they invade my personal space I will give a hoot and maybe even tell them to back off with my mouth. Since my foster home doesn’t have any human children, I can’t tell you how I am around them. I’ve already figured out the doggie door and my foster mom says I am potty trained even though I tend to mark things (but they tell me that will cease when I get this “neuter” thing done to me, whatever that is??). So if you are looking for a sweet, “I love a chair and a good rub” boy, I am your man!!!
