Sweet Pea's Story...
Hi there! My name is Sweet Pea because I am very sweet! I am a very pretty long hair female cat. I look like I am part Maine Coon. I was trapped by another rescue at a cat colony and the rescue called my foster mom to see if she would take me. She did and I live with her, lots of other cats and kittens and 2 big dogs. I get along with everyone!

I am very playful! I run around playing with the kittens like I am one myself but I am probably between one and 2 years old. I love playing with cat teasers, with the feathers on the end when I play with my foster mom. I love chasing ping pong balls around. If I am sitting on a chair my foster mom will come and pick me up and hold me and pet me and I will purr away! I love it! I am very curious and I want to see what is going on!

If you think my left ear looks a little strange, the first rescue “tipped” my ear to show that I was a rescued cat but they did a very poor job and took too much of my ear! It may look a little odd, but I hear just fine, and it doesn’t cause me any problems.

Sweet Pea is spayed, litterbox trained, is up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweet Pea, a Colmar Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
