Whiskey's Story...
Whiskey is a great little dog who is exactly what someone is looking for, and we hope they see him and can claim! Whiskey needs a boy to throw sticks or balls for him or another playmate to frolic with in the yard. He has a beautiful, shiny black coat which gets him attention, and he loves attention. Whiskey has been with a family for the last two months, and he has learned a lot. He knows 'sit' and 'stay' and walks well on a retractable leash. He is nearly house trained and is crate trained, too. This good boy is about seven months old and weighs about 40 pounds. He is good with other dogs and loves to play. He hasn't been around cats, but he seems to be a tail-wagging friendly guy who just wants to enjoy life, especially on sunshiny days. He has been neutered and is up-to-date on shots. This smart dog listens, loves to please, and will learn quickly anything his family wants to teach. Don't miss an opportunity for a great dog in Whiskey!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Whiskey, a Ripley Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Ripley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Ripley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ripley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ripley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ripley paves the way for another one to be saved.
