Leia's Story...
Leia is a 2-year-old female Labrador mix. She is about 45 lbs. Leia was rescued off the streets of Tijuana, Mexico. She is such an amazing girl. She is so sweet, loving and playful. She is fantastic with kids and other dogs. We have never tested her around cats, but I definitely believe that she would be just fine with them. She is mellow when she is in the home but also loves to play ball in the back yard. She enjoys going on walks and/or hiking too! Leia is crate trained, house trained, fully vaccinated, spayed, dewormed and microchipped. If you are interested in meeting sweet Leia, please send us an email to recycleddogrescue@gmail.com!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leia, a Long Beach Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
