Fluffy's Story...

Can you imagine what it must be like to lose your home and family--twice? This healthy, lovely, loving senior cat endured the death of her first owner, and recently risked going to a shelter because her second elderly owner (a very kind man) can no longer care for her.  In any shelter, she'd already be euthanized. Because who wants an older cat? People are concerned that being older means health problems and costs, and that a senior cat can't/won't bond with them. They may be scared of having to handle the death of a pet sooner than they'd want.  To that, we'll say this: No cat of any age comes with a crystal ball; you can never know for certain what may happen with a cat's health or prospects. Here's what we can know for certain: Fluffy is so sweet and loving.  Her heart is wide open to people; she is clearly aching to belong to someone nice once more. She is healthy with no present need of any medications or any particular medical care. As a long-haired beauty-kitty, she will need some regular brushing and grooming. Beyond that, how terrible be would it be to spend however many years there may be with a loving, devoted pet who lights up when you enter a room?  If that sounds good and reasonable to you, please let us know and we'll arrange for you to meet our darling Fluffy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fluffy, a Bronx Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Bronx, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Bronx.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bronx already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bronx breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bronx paves the way for another one to be saved.
