Once in awhile a dog is surrendered by its owner for truly unfortunate circumstances and it breaks everyone's heart: the owner's, the rescue's and the dog's. That is Jack's story, being surrendered by a man who loves him so deeply yet knows that the recent changes in worklife are forcing him to give up Jack for Jack's own good. All Jack has ever known is love and security, so he will adapt easily to a new family who can pick up where his owner must leave off. We've made the promise to Jack and his dad to find him a family who has plenty of love AND time for this gentle giant.
But first, you better put away your breakables because Jack's tail is always wagging! Jack is a happy teddy bear who gets along great with people of all ages and LOVES to play with other dogs. He really knows how to blend with the pack and is the super social type of boy who can go anywhere and fit right in. He also truly loves to be with his people, whether going for walks or watching TV, so we need to find a home where he'll be a treasured member of the family. After all, he is a big "mush" at heart!! We're not certain of Jack's mix and do not believe he is hypo-allergenic, but at 4 years old he weighs about 95 pounds, he's fully housetrained and he's a healthy, goofy guy. Because of his size and playfulness, he might knock over small children but he'd never hurt anyone on purpose.
