Duchess is a 1 1/2 year old spayed chocolatae female Lab that weighs 68 pounds. Duchess & Sweetie are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They are great dogs who are friendly and love to get petted. Duchess is the leader and the first to explore, Sweetie follows along to make sure she doesn't get into trouble or if she does to help. Duchess likes to retrieve. They would like to have a family that is active and can give them love, attention, training and exercise so they will thrive. They are siblings and dependent on each other so must be adopted together. Good with other dogs. No cat history. Knows sit come, sometimes down working on other commands. Will have a Training Addendums. Both walk okay on lead separately but when you take them out together they each try and be the lead. Crate trained and are keeping their room clean at the kennel. Sweetie and Duchess are approved for kids ages 10+.
Update (7/6): Duchess and Sweetie have settled in nicely to their foster home and are getting the routine down pat. They have been wonderful house guests! They appear to be litter mates and get along great with other dogs. They love to play together in the yard and duchess is crazy about the kiddie pool. It is by far her favorite thing. Even though they share a lot, they have very distinct personalities. Duchess loves to play! She does like human attention but, rather than cuddle she likes to engage you in a little play. She loves to play chase. They both run around in the back yard and tucker each other out. Once in the house they settle very nicely and prefer to play with their toys (they never touch what they are not supposed to) or snuggle on the couch with you. They both fully house and crate trained.
