Winston's Story...
Winston is approx 2-3 months old, not really sure of his breed. He is a sweet little boy who has had a rough life already. Taken to a shelter to be killed, he was intercepted before the owner could get him inside and he is now safe in a foster home. He LOVES to play and is a good boy. He is young so will need training, but that is any puppy. He will be neutered, up to date with shots and microchipped before adoption. If interested in Winston, go to www.hubbardshounds.com and submit an application. NO PHONE CALLS!

Adoption donation is $300

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston, a Homer Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Homer, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Homer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homer paves the way for another one to be saved.
