Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kimball - 3 year old deaf spayed female Great Dane with natural ears. House broken, basic obedience, requires additional training for distractions. Treat motivated and easy to train with consistent reinforcement. Good with children and cats. Has a strong startle reflex when sleeping and caution should be used when waking. Is reactive on leash with strange dogs. Requires structured introductions. Prefers a home with no other dogs or a large, confident, non-reactive dog(male preferably).
Do other dogs seem to judge you for your singing abilities? Do they question your desires to learn the bagpipes or didgeridoo? Do they abandon you every time you leave the room? Hi, I'm Kimball and I'm deaf/awesome, so you'll never have to worry again! You may be asking yourself: how did you get to be so awesome? Good question! Mostly I was born this way, but I've also made the most of my three years by carefully observing my human companions. I watch their every move, like a white shadow...When my humans are away, I prefer to hang out in my crate. I like it in there, especially when there are treats involved. I know a bit of sign language and a bit more if treats are involved. I've also learned how to give hugs and kisses with just the perfect amount of tongue. It's never too slobbery. Love car rides! Walks are also amazing. I am usually really good about walking, but sometimes I get distracted and need help from my human. Treats help a lot. I'm picky about my dog friends; they need to be big and confident, and not pushy or annoying. I love all humans. (Cats are cool too.) Did I mention I enjoy treats?
