My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duchess is a gorgeous 10 year old Labrador retriever mix rescued from a high kill shelter. She weighs approximately 58#. Don't let her age fool you, Duchess is an active girl! She absolutely loves going for rises in the car. She is dog social and is good with cats. She needs a fenced yard at her forever home where she safely run and play. Duchess is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, on heartworm preventative as well as house trained. As we get to know Duchess, we will share more information about her. If you are looking for an older girl who loves to have fun, is smart and loves to be with people, Duchess is your girl!!

All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same day adoptions. Adoption applications are only available at our adoption events. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs over the age of 1 year attend 1 obedience class (6 week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI to adopt one of our dogs. Come meet all of our adoptable dogs at our adoption events every Sunday at the Troy Petco on Coolidge near 15 Mile Rd from 12-4:30pm. Our adoption fee is $275.
