My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lattie! This adorable lady has a loving personality that will immediately win your heart. Lattie was found as a stray, but it was apparent she had a home at one point. At the shelter, she showed signs of being house trained and an affection for people that indicated she loved her family dearly. Surprisingly, no one ever came to claim this sweet girl as their own. When picked up by animal control, she was simply laying on the sidewalk, so there is a strong possibility that she was dumped and waiting for them to return. Lattie doesn't let all this hold her back, though. She loves just about any person she meets, big or small. Lattie could definitely spend all day getting scratches if allowed! This smart girl is, as we said before, house trained as well as good on a leash and a champ at "sit". True to her breed, Lattie is intelligent and willing to please!

At around 3-5 years old, Lattie has all the wonderful traits of a lab without all that puppy nonsense. She weighs in around 90lbs, so if you're looking for a big black couch cushion, she is the girl for you! Lattie has been gentle with children she meets out and about and adores just about anyone that will stop and give her a pet. Always the attention hog, this girl would be ideal as an only dog where she could be the recipient of all the pets! Although sassy with most other dogs, Lattie could learn to live with another pup with additional socialization and proper introductions. All this girl wants is a family to love and call her own! Won't you be that family?

Dogs in our program are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and given a physical examination by a vet prior to adopotion.
