My story

Harley is a gorgeous, sweet 10 year old Terrier mix. Her story effects so many seniors. After 10 years of companionship her owners decided they no longer wanted her so they took her to the vets to have her euthanized. Fortunately the vet started asking questions to figure out why they wanted to put down a healthy dog. The truth came out they no longer wanted a dog. Thank goodness this vet had the integrity not to do it. She had the family sign a surrender form and contacted M.A.D.Rescue. Harley is a wonderful lady who is happy to to be around her family. She enjoys going for walks and strolling around the yard. Harley is house broken and dog social. Our lady is up to date on vaccines, spayed and on heartworm preventive. All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same day adoptions. Adoption applications are only available at our adoption events. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs over the age of 1 year attend 1 obedience class (6 week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI to adopt one of our dogs. Come meet all of our adoptable dogs at Troy Petco on Coolidge near 15 Mile Rd on Sundays from 12-4:30pm. Our adoption fee is $275.
