Hi there, my name is Star. I'm a 6 year old, purebred Black and Tan Coonhound.
I was seized from my owner -along with 29 other dogs- by the pound due to our living conditions and lack of proper care necessary for our well being.
I'm a very sweet, loving and very beautiful girl. I am very playful. I am very social with most other dogs. I LOVE playing in water and being around most other dogs. I am good with male dogs and I am good with females as long as they let me be the boss. I will not let another female dominate me.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE laying on the couch!! Words cannot describe how happy I am when I have a couch to lay on!!!
I may need some housebreaking and should maybe be crated when you leave the house, at least until you get to know me and my behaviors because some of us hounds are notorious for being naughty. I do really well here at the pound with my potty habits, so it shouldn't be hard to house train me at all.
I need a home with a patient, loving family that will let me live inside the house with them so I can be a part of the family. I deserve that.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
