Important Note

COOPER is best friends with HUNTER. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Cooper and his brother Hunter were rescued from a high kill shelter in North Carolina. Cooper is a 4 year old Bluetick coonhound mix who has the typical hound personality. He weighs approximately 50#. He is a very friendly guy who loves being around people!!! Cooper gets along with dogs and cats. He loves to chew on Kongs, bones with peanut butter, Nylabones and chew toys. He would do best with children over the age of 12. Cooper's forever home must have a fenced yard where he can safely run and play. Cooper is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and on heartworm preventative, as well as house trained. Cooper and Hunter are a bonded pair. This means they need to be adopted together.

All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same day adoptions. Adoption applications are only available at our adoption events. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs over the age of 1 year attend 1 obedience class (6 week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI to adopt one of our dogs. Our adoption fee is $275.

About Make A Difference Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Make A Difference Rescue Inc.(MAD) is a non-profit, no kill, foster based canine rescue. Our rescue was formed for the purpose of preventing abuse to animals. We assist in pulling from rural area shelters with high kill rates, abused, abandoned and neglected animals.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please come visit us at Petco on Coolidge Hwy in Troy, MI. We are there every Sunday from 12-5pm.

Since we are a foster based rescue, we can not guarantee the attendance of every dog each week. Please email makeadifferencerescue@gmail.com to inquire about a specific dog(s).

Our Adoption Process...

We do require that potential adopters complete an application in person, and a face to face interview with a group representative. We do home inspections and cannot drive more than an hour.

Fully fenced yard is required for our bully breed dogs and all puppy adoptions.

All dogs have a one time adoption donation of $275.
If the dog is over 6 months of age, spaying and neutering is performed by the rescue and at the rescue's cost.
