"Stella"'s Story...
My name is Stella! I am a female, 48 pound, spayed, 8-month old Black Mouth Cur. My breed is known as a hunting type dog. I was saved from a high kill sheIter. I am very sweet and like all people. I can be weary of strangers that approach on a walk, mainly men. I don't think that's a bad thing! I am smart and csre about my people. I am active and will need daily exercise. I love soft plush toys and going for long walks snd hikes. I do have energy to burn but settle right in when it's time for bed. I am great with people, kids and dogs of any size. I will chase cats, but not aggressively, I just want to play but best to be a cat free home. My adoption fee is $475.
I am a real sweetie with a playful spirit. Continued basic training is a must, as I am only a puppy, I can be inquisitive and a bit destructive if not supervised. I love being in a pack, and I am a pleaser. I know how to sit and come, and I am potty-trained and know how to uses a doggy door. I am very trainable and would do best with someone that will work with me to learn knew commands.
My perfect home would be with an active person or family that loves to spend time with me. 6ft Wood or Chainlink fenced yard required. Another Dog to play with would be the icing on my cake! I will require a home where I am not alone for more than 4 hours at a time – A dog walker for potty breaks would work. Please apply online at www.6dogrees.com
About Adoption: The adoption fee includes: neuter, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) plus de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. The fee also supports costs for various necessary vet care including special surgeries, quality grain free food, general supplies, grooming, boarding, health certificate and transport cost from California to Seattle. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. All dogs are home fostered in the Seattle area by volunteers.

6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we are a "save it forward" so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs.
