Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dora is approx 4-5 yrs and 28.5 lbs. She is a beautiful long hair terrier/lhasa mix. She has a beautiful long silky soft coat. She is just a sweetheart, well behaved and quiet - she just likes to hang out in her doggie bed and go on walks. She seems to be pretty well house trained. She gets along great with the other dogs. She is being treated for heartworm - not contagious - via the slow kill method, so she will take doxycycline which we will supply to her new owner until she is clear which is up to 12 mos. She is just the sweetest dog little girl and will make a great companion for someone!
If you live in MA, there are new requirements for rescue dogs - according to the State Law, all rescues have to be quarantined for 48 hrs at the Ben Elder Kennels in Westport, MA. There is additional cost for this quarantine and new required health cert by a licensed MA vet of $110. We will go over all fees with you via email. Also, The state of MA does not allow adoptions of dogs that are heart worm positive. We are required to do a foster to adopt until the dog tests heart worm negative, usually in 4-6 months after treatment.
