If interested in adoption please email with a brief description of yourself, requesting an application. An application will not be reviewed unless this has been completed. Once submitting an application, it will be reviewed within 2-3 days. If approved, you will receive an email to schedule a one hour interview. In the interview, the adoption process and information about the puppy will be provided. References will be checked after and a puppy visit will be set up. Our puppies are in foster homes and all adopters must be pre screened prior to a visit. We are NOT a shelter and people cant come by to see all the puppies without pre screening. We also do not do same day adoptions so something for all people out of town to consider (you will need to make 2 trips to NYC)
Adoption fee is $300 (the costs of rescuing one puppy)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ella, a New York Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in New York, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
