Angelo's Story...
Angelo is a Jack Russell/Cattle Dog mix. He is about 2-3 years old. He is Mr. Personality! - fun to be around. He has lots of love in a little body. He would be great in an apartment or condo since he does not take up much space. He loves to go for walks and is good on a leash, and likes other dogs. He loves treats, pats on the head, and a lap to sit on! He weighs 15-20lbs, has short fur and is a dream to maintain.

The total adoption cost of $475 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Angelo, a Allentown Jack Russell Terrier/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Cattle Dog for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
