Ethan's Story...
ETHAN was brought to the sanctuary by a man who said they felt bad because he was constantly getting beat up by neighborhood cats. They'd have taken him in, but his wife is deathly allergic to cats so they could not even try. ETHAN is a big lovebug and a Polydactyl -- that means he has at least 1 extra toe on each foot! Polydactyl cats were made famous by being a personal favorite of the great American writer Ernest Hemingway. As a matter of fact, he made arrangements for all his cats to be cared for at his mansion in the Florida Keys! We'll never make it to the Florida Keys, but YOU could have your own little piece of history greeting you at the door every night, purring in gratitude and rubbing against your ankles! This boy is VERY affectionate and will make sure you never feel lonely!

Contact the sanctuary today and arrange to meet this solid, handsome, panther-like boy with catcher's mitts for feet! Our vet estimates his age to be two at the most. He is as special as his looks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ethan, a Delmont Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Delmont, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Delmont.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Delmont already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Delmont breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Delmont paves the way for another one to be saved.
