My name is Snickers! I am a 10-year-old neutered male American Foxhound mix. I weigh about 55 pounds.
Don't let my age fool you, I am still very energetic. You wouldn't believe that I am a senior citizen. I still love to run around and explore the world. I can't wait to have a family of my own to take me on all kinds of adventures.
I am a sweet, loving, gentle guy. I get along well with everybody I meet - people and dogs alike! I've not met an enemy yet. I would love it if you became my new best friend. What do you say?
I bet you want to know how I ended up here. My buddy and I had a family once. We lived with them for a long time. Neither of us thought we'd ever live anywhere else. But, one day we found ourselves at a local high-kill shelter. We couldn't believe it. We were so confused and scared.
Not long after we were impounded, someone from a rescue that specializes in Labs came to the shelter. And, before I knew it, my friend was gone. He had been adopted by the rescue and I was left alone. Can you imagine how heartbreaking that was for me?
It wasn't long before my luck turned around, though. Just a few days later CageFree pulled me from that terrible place. Apparently, a friend of the rescue knew my previous owners and found out that we had been dumped at the pound. They contacted CageFree to ask them if they would be willing to take me in and thankfully they said yes. Now I'm waiting for my forever home. Are you the person I have been looking for?
