Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My new pet name is Skytrain. I'm named after Anne's father who flew planes nicknamed Skytrains during WWII, bringing wounded soldiers home. I like the name because I can relate to wounded soldiers.
I was really fast so I won a lot of races. When I broke my ankle a few months ago, they kept me at the track in hopes I'd be able to race again. My ankle didn't heal right, so I was released to be a pet in mid-June.
My doctor said he couldn't fix my ankle because the bone has already regrown in the wrong place. He promised I'd still be a great pet and it wouldn't matter at all that I couldn't run fast any more. That made me happy.
I hope I'm as good at being a pet as I was at running. I also hope he's right that someone is going to love me, just like I am. If you think you'd like a nice, quiet companion with a bit of a limp, I'm the hound for you.
Skytrain does fine with small dogs and cats. He will be available soon.
