Jane (The Hidden Gem)'s Story...
Holy Whiskers! This girl is a stunner! She's even more beautiful in purrson when you can see the fabulous colors in her coat. Jane has street smarts and knows that you have to choose your friends wisely. You need someone who's got your back and that type of relationship takes time to develop. This savvy girl would prefer to meet you in the comfort of her foster home though she does attend adoption events on occasion. Jane wants a quiet home without a lot of hustle and bustle and with a window perch and lots of nom-noms. She is well past the crazy kitten stage but does like to chase a feather toy on occasion. If you're looking for a furry friend who will be a great companion, but is not an "in-your-face, pet-me-now" bratty cat, then Jane may be the purrfect one for you.

Adoption procedure requires an approved adoption application and home visit.
$95 Adoption fee applies and includes:
Spay surgery
Current on age-appropriate vaccinations (FVRCP and rabies)
FIV/ feline leukemia testing (negative for both)
Microchip
Cat training/ behavior DVD
Certificate for a free veterinary wellness exam
Lots of kitty love ;-)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jane (The Hidden Gem), a Tucson Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
