Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"SPENCER" arrived from a family who had recently received him from a friend. Sadly, their Vet visit found that Spencer is in need of Vet work; which they could not afford. More information below.
This is a wonderful, loving, soft, quiet and very pretty Toy Poodle. So, a difficult and tearful decision was made to surrender Spencer to us.
Sometimes the greatest gift you can give those you love, is to let go. Thank you, Sarah.
Spencer is an extremely nice blue Toy Poodle with a white miss-mark on his chest. This wonderful little boy is 10" tall, 10 pounds and is about 4 to 5 years old.
Another long in body and short in leg Poodle, but has a most beautiful face and personality! He is close to perfect in every other way! He has also been a perfect gentleman in our home, sociable, friendly and loving.
Spencer has been an only Poodle all his life, but does get along just fine with our Poodles; he just ignores them. He loves to go for walks, has been around older children and not a problem with cats.
Spencer's teeth cleaned up nicely. He has been neutered, micro-chip, wormed, heart worm tested negative and shots are up to date. His ear infections have been treated and he has been wormed.
Our Vet has also determined that Spencer has Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca, or in English: "dry eye".
Tests were done and surgery is NOT an option. Spencer will just need twice daily drops (or suave) into both of his eyes to help keep them moist. THIS IS NOT a big deal.
Spencer's eyes (pictured on our web site) WITHOUT THE DROPS are not very pleasant to look at. Yuck! These daily drops will be needed to keep his eyes moist. These pictures of this pretty boy show what his eyes are like WITH the daily prescription.
I just LOVE this boy and have found Spencer to be very nice "soft" Poodle, meaning his is not demanding, but very gentle and quiet.
What a loving WONDERFUL BOY! He loves to snuggle or sit on our living room couch looking out the window. He really wants to join us in bed at night, but we have no more room for another Poodle.
Spencer would be best in a family with older children (10 years), with another quiet dog but is perfectly content to be by himself.
Spencer's $300.00 adoption fee (plus $21.00 Minnesota State Sales tax) will help pay for some of his Vet expenses.
Also included is his kennel, blanket, dog bed, collar, leash, a bag of dog food, treats, a winter coat, a dog dish and lots of good information to help your adoption start off on the right paw forward.
Please contact me for Spencer's "Application For Adoption" or if you have any specific questions.
