Update 6/24: Mikey has tested negative for heartworms!
Update 6/23: When I was playing with Mikey yesterday I whipped out a squeaky toy hotdog and Mikey was beside himself with joy, tossing it up in the air, pouncing on it, and having a blast. While he was chewing on it I waved a piece of real hotdog under his nose and he got all confused – he wanted them both, and looked up at me with such puzzlement “What do I do???” Such a puppy brain :) He was so in love with his plastic hotdog I let it take him back to his run, where he treated everyone to an hour of non-stop squeaky noises.
Update 6/18: Thanks to donations to the Spay/Neuter Fund, Mikey has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on his vaccinations!
Trainer Evaluation 6/15: Patricia Hall of Bone-A-Fide Dog Training had this to say about Mikey: Mikey is a happy, young dog. He gets excited when he sees other dogs and will bark at them but he wants to play. He is a quick learner.
6/12: Mikey is a happy, playful boy. He entered the interaction pen ready to play and enjoyed a few rounds of fetch before joining me on the picnic table for some attention. He was content with pets and scratches until another dog entered the adjoining pen, and then he was ready to play again. They had a good time running along the fence. Mikey loves treats and knows how to sit for them. If you’re looking for an active, playful companion who also loves attention, come meet Mikey!
