Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chance is a courtesy listing through a rescue we work with. Please email the contact below.
This is chance. He is a 4-5 year old American staffordshire terrior. He is fixed up to date with shots and dental cleanings. He is also microchipped and knows many basic commands as well as "high five"! He is food motivated and easy to train. He also loves kids and is protective over them. He's lived with a 10 month old and a 3 year old for the last year. He is great with people and does well in crowds. He loves going to the farmers market and loves rides in the car. He is very laid back and is content just laying in the sun. Chances only drawback is that he has severe separation anxiety (maybe as a result of spending a few years in a shelter). We have tried MANY different methods to help him including behavioral modification, medications, and various methods and different style crates and enclosures. He can escape any of them and is very destructive when left alone. He is OK for a short period of time but we both work full time and it's becoming stressful for him to be crated all day. He needs an environment where someone is home with him most if not all of the time.
Chance is NOT ok with cats. He is only ok with submissive dogs. If he feels intimidated by another dog he can come off as dog aggressive. He currently lives with a one year old German Shepard and a 2 year old female Shepard and he does very well with both of them. In the right home he will be the perfect dog!
