My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kami is a special needs Shiba puppy! She was born 12/9/14 and her previous owners brought her to the vet to be put to sleep because of some neurological issues; she spins and has balance issues. The vet staff moved into action and rescued her. They found DC SIR to continue with her care and help her find the perfect forever home! Kami has made so much improvement since being with DC SIR. However, we expect her to always have spinning and balance issues.
Otherwise, Kami's tests and vet assessment is stable. Kami lives in a home with multi-generation rescues and cats! She gets along with everyone but prefers the company of calmer dogs over rambunctious puppies. Kami loves to cuddle with her foster family and is happiest when she falls asleep in their arms.

Kami's adoption area is extended outside our local requirements. She is fine in a home with dogs or cats but they must not be overly rambunctious as she can get stressed when jumped on and knowcked over! We prefer a home with no children or children that are respectful of special needs dogs.
